

Florence Nardino, a vibrant, creative spirit and beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. She was 90 years old.
Born on March 7, 1935, in Greenwich, Connecticut, Florence was the daughter of the late Charles and Antoinette Peluso. She was the middle of three children, preceded in death by her older brother, Frank Peluso, and her younger sister, Carol Lefebvre.
Florence was a graduate of Greenwich High School and went on to study at Columbia University and Albertus Magnus College. Her lifelong love of the arts and storytelling would shape both her personal and professional life. She studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and trained under the renowned Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse. She also pursued writing at The New School and UCLA.
She was a longtime member of the Writers Guild, the Screen Actors Guild, and the American Film Institute, and was involved with Catholics in Media and the Catholic Actors Guild.
A woman of many talents, Florence began her career in journalism, writing a daily page and a weekly column titled A Few Grains of Rye for the Daily Item in Port Chester, NY, where she covered local news for the City of Rye. She also had work published in the Greenwich Time and served as Conservation Chairman for the Women’s Club of Greenwich. Later, she worked on The Tonight Show, handling fan mail and correspondence, and went on to write television scripts for Brothers and Marblehead Manor, both produced by Paramount. As an actress, she held feature roles in Famous Jury Trials and appeared in All My Children, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, and Brothers.
Florence was married for over 30 years to the late Gary Nardino, a pioneering television executive and producer who led Paramount Television during its most influential era. Their life together was one of shared artistic passion and close family ties. They made homes in Greenwich, Connecticut, and Beverly Hills, California, where they raised their three children.
Florence is survived by her son, Gary Nardino of Los Angeles, CA, and her daughter, Teresa Nardino of Henderson, NV. She was a loving grandmother to Nicholas Neal and Danielle Neal, the children of her late daughter, Caroline Neal.
Florence was known for her intelligence, wit, warmth, and fierce independence. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, and a cherished aunt and friend to many. She embraced life with passion and curiosity, and touched the lives of those around her with her creativity and generosity.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her memory on August 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 504 North Roxbury Drive, Beverly Hills, California.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
