Gail T. Crawford

Gail Theresa Crawford, age 77, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Gail was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to her parents Joseph and Milda Zappulla. Gail was raised in New Orleans with her two brothers: Richard and Vincent; two sisters: Dorithy and Elizabeth; and two half-sisters: Luise and Mary.

In the late 70's Gail moved to Nevada. In 1979, Gail met her future Husband while working as a dealer and he as a security guard, at the Silver Bird Casino. On June 7th, 1982, Gail exchanged wedding vows with Robert Crawford at a private civil wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they blended their lives and families. She was blessed to have Robert who helped raise her son and three daughters, and she was blessed to have his two sons from his first marriage into her life. As their blended family grew they were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Gail loved everything about Vegas; the life, the ambiance and the excitement. She worked for many years as a dealer until the late 90's when she would retire.

Gail was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who lived her life for her family. She loved spending time with her family, holidays, record and watch movies, going camping with her grandchildren, listening to Elvis, and hitting the poker machines at her favorite casino, Arizona Charlies.

Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Crawford; her sons: Sidney Adams and Rolan Sapia; her daughter, Denise Laccason; her father, Joseph Zappulla; her mother, Milda Zappulla; her brothers: Richard Zappulla and Vincent Zappulla; her sisters: Dorithy Warden and Elizabeth Pertuit; and her half-sister: Luise Bergeron and Mary Helmer. She is survived by her daughter: Sylvia Sapia and Lynn Carmona; her stepsons Robbie Crawford and David Crawford; 11 grandchildren: Theresa Bach (Thomas), Sean Carmona (Regan), Bobby Carmona (Briana), Raul Carmona III, Chelsea Carmona, Tristin Carmona, and Daniel Duhownik, Robert Crawford, Samantha Crawford, Hunter Crawford, Piper Crawford; and 10 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Gail will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Gail will be laid to rest at 1:20 PM at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
