

On the morning of March 4, 2024 Glade Frehner passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 76. Glade was born on July 1, 1947, in Murray, Utah, the fourth of seven children of Randall Frehner and Thelma Grace Hawkins Frehner. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Rex and Clyde, his younger sister Jeanette, and his grandson, Julian Pequeno.
Glade grew up in Riverton, Utah, and graduated from Bingham High School in 1965. He later served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Northern States Mission from 1966-1968. Upon completion of his mission he attended Dixie College from 1969-1970, where he met his wife, Wendy Slack. Glade and Wendy were married on June 19,1970 in the St. George, Utah Temple. They had seven children (Anthony, Melissa, Cory, Kerri, Matthew, Sara, Bradley), 25 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Glade worked in the Food-Service industry in Las Vegas for 32 years. His wife and family were the focus of his life, and where he found his greatest happiness. He also served in the church as a bishop, a bishopric counselor, a stake clerk, on the high council, in the Young Mens organization and in the Sunday School.
His funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1002 Burkholder Blvd. in Henderson, Nevada, on March 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. There will also be a viewing at 9:00 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at Palm Boulder Highway Cemetery.
