We ALWAYS looked forward, to when Gloria (AKA The Brownie Lady) would unexpectedly visit us,  at Fire Station 5, in Laguna Niguel.   It is with sadness, that we read about her passing.  To Gloria's family:  Realize, that she always brightened our day, when she visited us, and how much we appreciated her kindness.  She will always be remembered.  Sincerely, Captain Gary Ungricht, and all the firefighters, at Station 5.  Thank you.

▪️So very sorry to hear about the loss of Gloria.  She was such a kind, thoughtful and caring lady.
▪️I remember the beautiful note cards she gave me, a few trips and lunch with my beloved husband, Paul,  and her in Boulder City.
▪️Prayers of comfort to her family and all that knew and loved her. 





Such a tragic loss of an incredible and caring woman. I first met her while serving as a Division Chief for the OC Fire Authority in Tustin. Gloria brought Brownies to our  Fire Department personnel at Stations throughout Orange County.  Always such a compasionate person.  Even without her wonderful Brownies which earned her the appreciative title of "The Brownie Lady" Gloria lit up every location that she entered.  Our personnel really appreciated her caring attitude toward First Responders.  She frequently asked about their families and to many of those with young families she provided motherly encouragement that they place a high priority on their family even while serving others. 
I haven't seen Gloria for some 18 to 20 years but she remains a bright light in my career and service to others as she was to our responders. May Gloria Rest in Peace until we meet again. 


To the members of the Orange County Fire Department, Gloria will always be remembered as "The Brownie Lady", for her frequent deliveries of brownies and grateful encouragement to our fire stations.  I'm sure the world will miss such a kind, thoughtful, and generous woman.

I am so sad to lose my good friend Gloria Hatcher! Her heart was always for service. She  was all about encouraging others and showing love. She was a big influence in my life. But I know she has run into the arms of Jesus. She has heard “Well Done Good and Faithful Servant. Come and enter into My rest” Hugs  and prayers for all her family and loved ones.
