Henry Wayne Marlow, age 80, of Henderson, Nevada passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in Henderson, Nevada. Son of Maxie Doris, and Henry Thomas Marlow, he was born August 21, 1943 in Nashville, Tennessee. Henry entered the U.S. Marine Corp when he was 17, in 1960, where he proudly served during the Vietnam War.
Henry met his first wife, Shirley A. Marlow (Pastian) in 1964. Once he was honorably discharged in 1970, Henry and his wife moved to Dallas, Texas. They moved around a bit until finally landing in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked for the Las Vegas Airport as the Ground Support Manager in Las Vegas, Phoenix and surrounding areas. This is where he met the love of his life, Sheryl Marlow (Jennings); and they spent a wonderful 23 years together until her death in November of 2022.
Everyone knew our father by “Wayne”. He was a beloved father and husband, boss and friend. Wayne leaves behind his two children: Richard Wayne and Michelle Lynn and her husband, James-Robert Docherty; three grandchildren: Hunter (24), Aria (20), and Ayden (18); and many nieces and nephews.
Wayne found the Lord in his later years and was a selfless man. He will be desperately missed by all those that he’s left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this loss. He was one of a kind and to be loved by him was to be truly blessed.
Services for Wayne will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 12:00PM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. A reception will immediately follow at 958 River Mountain Drive, Henderson, NV 89015. Come by and have a beer for our Dad and share memories of him with us!
