

Jacquelin H. M. Gordon, passed away Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at the age of 67, after a brief but vigorous battle with breast cancer. "Jackie," a bright and independent child, was born in Las Vegas, to Harold and Helma McQuiston. She attended Rancho High School, where her bubbly and vivacious personality shined as Pep Club president. An accomplished pianist, she played all her life and shared her love for music to all who knew her. While attending BYU, in Provo, Utah, she married Scott D. Gordon in 1965. Her adventurous and friendly spirit was enjoyed by many all over the globe raising her family and serving those around her. Jackie saw the world and visited as many diverse countries as opportunity permitted. She faithfully served in many capacities as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in California, Nevada, Oregon, England, Mexico, and Utah. She is survived by her brother, Gene Davis (Inez); sister, Frances Davis; husband, Scott Gordon; and four children, Michele Camphouse, Deborah Stoddard (Jared), Dale Gordon (Michelle) and Jennifer Hecht. She was also a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Black Mountain LDS Stake Center, 400 Water St., Henderson, following a viewing at 10 a.m. Afterward, she will be interred near her mother, Helma McQuiston Davis, in the Alamo Cemetery in Alamo.
