

James Lee Williams was born on November 10, 1950, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Commer Williams Sr. and Katie Lee Williams. He later moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he graduated from Edgewood High School.
James served 20 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Known as “Cold Power,” he took pride in his service and the life he built.
In the 80’s, James made Las Vegas his home. After retiring from the military, he worked at Mandalay Bay, where he enjoyed live performances and entertainment. He had a strong sense of awareness and understanding of the world.
James was married for 35 years to his wife, Debra Siham Williams. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother who valued his family and being present in their lives.
James was a fan of the Golden State Warriors and the Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed music, dancing, gardening, and caring for birds. He liked recording moments and sharing them with family.
James served the Lord at First African Methodist Episcopal Church and was known for his sense of humor and the way he connected with others.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Commer Williams Sr. and Katie Williams; and his siblings: Commer Williams Jr., Carl Williams, Lemar Williams, Anthony Williams, Brenda Duncan, Cynthia Williams, and Virginia Williams.
James leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Debra Siham Williams; his children: Lamar Williams (Heather), Marquicia Reed, Fouad Diallo, Nika Williams, Nunziata Williams, Natasha Bussey (Anthony), and Raquel Williams; his siblings: Gwendolynn Murphy, Rickey Williams (Sharon), Jacqueline Broils (Forrest), Sheila White (William), Tracey Columbus, and Melvin Johnson; his 23 grandchildren; his best friend, James Ruggs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
James Lee Williams will be remembered for his quiet strength, his wisdom, his laughter, and the way he showed up for those he loved. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled and the many lives he touched.
Visitation will be held at Palm Henderson Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015, on April 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
James will be laid to rest with military honors at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Mem, Boulder City, NV 89005.
