

Jayson was born July 5, 2003 at Red Bud Hospital in Clearlake, California. He was the son of Jack Brown and Melissa and Steven Welter. He was raised in Clearlake, California, Kingman, Arizona and Henderson, Nevada.
When Jayson Alexander Brown walked into a room, people would notice. They would feel the energy he brought, his enthusiasm and spontaneity. This is just a part of who Jayson was and how he impacted anyone who knew him. It was like he had this way, this desire, to share their lives, appreciating their experiences and celebrating everyone around him and the paths they walked. Jayson was energetic, tireless and full of enthusiasm. You could see it shine in his smile alone.
Jayson had two younger sisters, Julia and Jennifer. He was a wonderful brother and son, always so accepting and supportive to his family. It wasn’t unusual for him to be known as the mediator in his family, he always had a way of keeping communication open between the family members. If there was tension, Jayson was typically the one who brought it to an end and encouraging peace. These traits served Jayson in his life and, along with his wit, outgoing personality, and understanding of others, drew the admiration of many who knew him.
When Jayson was young he had this gift of empathizing and identifying with a variety of people and personality types, much more than someone typically may be able to. It drew him into a diverse group of friends and acquaintances. Jayson was intelligent and got along with almost everyone. He was always eager to join games or other childhood activities including flag football and baseball. He was also a Boy Scout. In his spare time he loved video games, comic books, drawing, sketching and pop figurines. Jayson's memorable achievements included Honor Roll in 2016 and 2017, Principal's List in 2015 and 2016, and Student of the Month in January 2016. Jayson had the ability to find amusement with almost any activity he and the many childhood friends he shared might discover.
With his assertive and outgoing personality as well as a talent for getting to know people easily, he had an endless stream of friends. He could blend without effort into any social group. The deep concern and way of connecting to others made him a friend like no other. He always seemed aware of what was going on with people around him and throughout his life he made many, many friends. While growing up, some of his best friends were Zane Lambert, Hunter, Destin Newlon, Kableb Blount and Rease.
Jayson's love of improvising in his daily life was a perfect fit for his enjoyment of family time. His favorite vacations were ones that were not planned. Excited about seeing changing scenery and constantly looking for the enjoyment life could offer, Jayson’s favorite vacations included family camping trips.
Jayson loved animals, especially his pets. Lady and Gauge, both blue nose pit bulls, were his best friends for 2 Years along with Jack, and Gunner.
Jayson has his own style and inventiveness. He was a dynamic, self-expressive person who was forever looking to celebrate his family. He had a knack for being clever, creative and witty, and for others was a joy to be around. His smile was contagious, his humor could make anyone laugh. While he was often fiercely independent, it seemed as if many others looked to Jayson Brown for inspiration, leadership, wisdom and even courage.
Jayson Brown passed away on February 6, 2018 in Henderson, Nevada. He is survived by his parents, Melissa and Steven Welter and father Jack, as well as his sisters Julia and Jennifer. He also is survived by several aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents. Services were held at Palm Mortuary in Henderson, Nevada. He will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts.
