Dear Johnny,
Wow!! This is abut the hardest thing I had to do in awhile.  My heart aches at the thought of knowing you are gone.  No matter how many miles came between us or where your location was, we always kept our cousin bond strong. We had many beautiful years at Mama's house.  I could remember, I always had to braid your hair.   Man we would cut up!!! (lol) As time went on and we matured, sharing our stories about parenthood were treasurable. Love all your beautiful children. I will truly miss our love/hate NBA discussions and texting all night throughout basketball season.  I wish Carol and the kids much comfort and peace during this difficult time.

I remember John  from when I was in high school. I often went over to the Hart household during a very difficult time in my life and was always welcomed. He loved video games and anytime I went over he would peek his head out of the game room and say hello. His passing is a great loss and he will be missed by many. I often wonder how different my life we be if we grew up together. Me, you, & Jackie under one roof would be off the hook. The times we did speak u treated me like we did grow up together and u would tell me how to not let people run game on me. I thank you for texting me every mothers day and I will miss that. I will always carry a piece of you in my heart. Rest easy my brother and tell Poppie we miss him.

I met John in 1988 in the US Air Force at RAF Bentwaters UK.  When I arrived we became roommates and he treated me like a brother from day one.  We've had so many great memories playing sports, video games (madden)and just hanging out.  I'm just so thankful to have had the privilege of knowing such a special person for 28 years.  I will miss you so much John, but will forever cherish our time spent together.  Until we meet again, rest in peace my brother.  My family and I will continue to keep your family lifted in prayers.

My heart and prayers are going out to your family. I was John hair stylist he came every week for the past 8 years. It was a pleasure to have John as a client. He wasn't only my client he became the shop client, therapist and good friend. We were extremely concerned when John didn't show for his 10:00a.m. Friday like he always does. When we were informed of his passing we were devastated and in disbelief. I can say it was a honor and a pleasure to have John as a client, friend and therapist.
