

Larry Hedden, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on July 21st, 1952, in Urbana Illinois, Larry led a life filled with adventure, service, and love.
Larry was the proud father of two sons, Robert and Benjamin, and he was especially devoted to his family. He met his wife, Dorothy, at his church’s singles group in April of 1994, and the two shared a deep bond that led to their marriage on September 2nd, 1995. Together, they traveled the country seeking out new experiences and enjoying life’s many adventures. His spirit of exploration and zest for life left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
A proud veteran, Larry honorably served in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years where he developed a strong work ethic and an ardent love for our great Nation. Later, he worked as a master locksmith, helping others with his technical expertise and problem-solving ability. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Elma and Robert Hedden and his son Robert Hedden.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hedden; his son, Benjamin Hedden and his wife Kathleen Hedden; his sister, Linda Hedden; and his grandchildren, Angelina Hedden, Benjamin Hedden Jr., Lilie Hedden, and Zachary Hedden; his niece, Morgan Hedden; and many other extended family members and friends who will remember his warm heart, big hugs and adventurous spirit.
Larry Hedden will be laid to rest at Boulder City Veterans Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at Central Church Sunrise Mountain on February 7, 2025 from 3-5pm. His family and friends are all welcome to the Celebration of Life to honor his memory, reflect on the joy he brought to their lives, and say goodbye to a man who lived life to the fullest.
