Lydia Mutoff passed away at home surrounded by family on January 29, 2021. Lydia was a long time resident of Henderson, Nevada. Lydia’s age wasn’t important to her, she stated many times, “Well I don’t feel my age. She was born in Veguita, New Mexico to Rebecca and Florencio Cordova.
Lydia met the love of her life in Kingman, Arizona and they married in 1950. She lived life and loved her family. On Christmas Eve for many years the door was opened for family and friends to enjoy Tamales that the family had gotten together in early December to make together. She loved cooking for her family and stated, "she hopes to always be remembered by her Green Chile, that it was good, and that she cared about everyone." Lydia was known by many names: mom, grandma, grandma-grandma, and GG; and always wanted people to feel welcomed in her home.
Lydia was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Mutoff; parents: Florencio and Rebecca Cordova. She is survived by her Children: Delilah Quilici (Rick), Rebecca Mutoff, Sam Mutoff (Maryann) and Steve Mutoff (Jeanette); nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
