Miriam Santos Rillo

Miriam Santos Rillo, age 80, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. She was born August 18, 1940 in Cavite City, Philippines. Miriam Martin Santos met her soulmate, Rizal "Al" in high school and they later married upon his returning from serving 2 years in the U.S. Navy on June 12, 1965.

Miriam graduated from the Philippine Women’s University where she earned a degree in Nutrition. Throughout her life, she cooked for many and owned a small catering business in Torrance, California. She was well known for her many specialties and supplied the local bakery in Carson with her bibingkas.

Miriam was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be forever remembered for her gentle and caring ways, her excellent sought-after recipes, and her sweet smile.

Miriam was preceded in death by her father, Regalado Santos; mother, Luisa Martin, and husband, Rizal Rillo. She is survived by her children: Jonathan Santos Rillo, Jededia Rillo Rosario (Jose), and Rizalito Santos Rillo; grandchildren: Jose Rosario Jr., Emily Rosario and Kimberly Rosario; sister, Vilma Santos Cruzado; brothers: Regalado Santos, Jr and Samuel Santos; and her many adoring nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Miriam will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Miriam will be laid to rest on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 9:20 AM at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
