Nancy Sue Gonzales

Nancy Sue Gonzales, age 72, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born July 30, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to Lucille and Jesse Terpening. As a young girl growing up in Illinois, Nancy was imaginative, ingenious, and clever. She enjoyed spending time with her closest friends. Nancy attended Alton High School but finishing at Votech in Henderson, Nevada.

As a young women, Nancy was always resourceful and devoted to her family. She worked in different professions from retail, inventory, and manufacturing positions. Her longest position was as an assembly line worker for Unilever Ice Cream plant, where she worked for 17 years before retiring in 2014.

 On December 24, 1996, Nancy married Alexander Gonzales at a small Wedding Chapel, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although they met later in life, the two blended their lives and families. Compassionate and devoted, Nancy worked hard to support and care for her children, and to find balance with her new life with her husband, Alexander. As her children's families grew, Nancy was blessed with 17 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who was always devoted to her family; they were the center of her life. In retirement, she often traveling to Colorado to visit with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time with her closest friends Zenaida Cabales, Donna Van Tasel, Florence Benavidez, and Vicki Rodolf. She enjoyed Couponing and finding deals where she could, and watching Football and Nascar when the opportunity arose.

Throughout her life, Nancy was a gregarious and enthusiastic woman. She was generous in sharing her personal attributes, giving and helping those she knew and loved. She was imaginative, original, and tender hearted; leaving behind many lifelong friendships and cherished memories. Everyone whose lives she touched will dearly remember Nancy Sue Gonzales.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father Jesse, Terpening; and mother, Lucille Terpening. She is survived by her husband, Alexander Gonzales; her children: Kimberly Weedman, Angelia Zipplies (Robert), Jennifer Weedman, and Robert Weedman (Stephanie), Dawn Lovejoy (Phillip), and Dina Gonzales (Matt); 17 Grandchildren: Matthew, Megan, Charles, Paul, Brian, Tyler, Emma, Hunter, Trinity, Desmond, Willow, Jericho, Riddick, Harley, Nycholas, Elizabeth, and Gabrielle ; and 7 great grandchildren: Serenity, Bellamy, Jack, Josiah, Jazmaya, Evelynn, and Gwendolyn.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM, both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Nancy will be laid to rest in Palm Henderson Cemetery, in Henderson, Nevada.
