

Norma Sarmiento Warthen, a beloved soul whose kindness and unwavering devotion touched so many lives, passed away on April 17 at the age of 84 in Henderson, Nevada. Born on July 13, 1940, in Manila, Philippines, Norma's journey was one of strength, love, and dedication.
She pursued higher education at Far East University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting—a profession she would later embrace with diligence and expertise, contributing to companies in Manila, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. But beyond numbers and ledgers, Norma built a life rich in love and generosity. On May 14, 1992, she married the love of her life, Frank Warthen, creating a partnership filled with warmth and devotion.
She was not just a guiding light in her professional world but also in her personal life. As a devoted Lola, Norma nurtured and supported her Filipino family, embracing each role she played with boundless love. The youngest and last surviving of eight siblings, she carried forward the legacy of her family with grace and strength.
Friends and loved ones will gather to honor and celebrate Norma’s remarkable life. A viewing is scheduled to take place at Palm Mortuary in Henderson, Nevada, on May 15 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services will follow on May 16 at 10:00, as those who cherish her memory bid farewell to a woman who brought so much light into the world.
