

Randolph Lee Landis, age 67, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. He was born in Henderson, Nevada to his parents Rudolph and Donna Landis. Randy was raised in Southern Nevada where he would graduate high school and would enlist in the United States Navy.
Randy served honorably in the United States Navy in Naval Tactical Command, aboard the U.S.S. Nimitz. Through his hard work and dedication to Duty, he would retire as a DS1, and would earn his fifth Good Conduct Medal, Navy Overseas Service Ribbon (Second Award), Sea Service Deployment Award (Fourth Award), Southwest Asia Service Medal with Bronze Star, and National Defense service Ribbon.
While serving in the United States Navy, Randy would meet the love of his life, Emma Cervantes in 1974. On June 22, 1976, the couple would would get married at church wedding in Olongapo, Philippines. Little did they know that they would embark on a journey that would last over 47 years.
Randy was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who was compassionate, kind, and responsible. He was quiet and laid back and loved to spend time with his family and fishing. He loved sports, especially football, and loved parties and entertaining family and friends. He will truly be missed.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Donna Landis; his son, Joe Landis; his brother Dennis Landis; and three aunts, Marcela Newmiller, Joanne VorHees, and Linda Hanson. He is survived by his wife, Emma Landis, sons: Bernie and his wife Kathy, and R.J. Landis; his aunt Dianna Lamb; and two grandchildren.
A military honors service for Randolph will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 12:40 PM at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
