Rey Dicion Pagarigan of San Mateo, CA and Henderson NV, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 47 on March 28. 2020 in Cibola County New Mexico. He was born on August 4, 1972 in San Francisco, CA. He is survived by his wife Maria Gina, his brother Randy, parents, Rey and Fely Pagarigan , dog Hugo and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his dogs Nala and Cy as well as his ferret, Chuckie.
As a child, Rey always wanted to be a ninja, but that did not work out. Then he wanted to be a freestyle bike rider in the 80’s. However, when that did not pan out either, he decided to be an auto mechanic and actually went to school in Arizona and became certified, but never worked in the field. His real dream was to be in Law Enforcement. He worked as a CHP Explorer, then as a 911 Emergency dispatcher before he finally went the police academy and became a police officer. Towards the end of his law enforcement career, he began sharing his knowledge and experience by becoming an instructor and training other law enforcement agencies.
He loved dogs, the outdoors, trucks and motorcycles, any type of gadgets, pocket knives, flashlights, multi-tools and USB flash drives. He was the ultimate friend, brother uncle and husband. He was always available to help and offer advice to anyone that asked and always made sure you were OK. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with.
Funeral services will take place at the Palm Boulder Highway Henderson, NV on March 27, 2021. Due to the pandemic, services will be limited to only close family and friends.
