Richard Schraeder

Richard Schraeder, age 88, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formally of Penn Hills, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. He was born in Pennsylvania to his parents John Schraeder and Idah Navitskis. Richard was a U.S. Army veteran, who served honorably for four years as a command staff support specialist, obtaining the rank of a Sergeant.

Richard continued his education, graduating from Penn State in Hotel Management, where he would eventually work for many years as a collections manager.

Richard was a loving husband, and father who was devoted to his faith and his family. He was active at St John the Baptist Church prior to relocating to Henderson, Nevada, where he was active in the American Legion and the Eagles. Richard had a variety of hobbies and interests which included polkas, sports, bowling, card playing. He recently discovered sports gambling and was quite successful.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Monica I Schraeder. He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Navitskis and her husband Joe; and his extended family.

Richard will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery and Mausoleum in North Versailles, PA
