

Richard W. Slovonsky passed away at home on Saturday, May 5, 2012. He was born May 9, 1941 in New Castle, PA to Louis & Julia Slovonsky. He was raised with his 4 sisters and 1 brother. He married Sheila Fullerton in 1959 and they had 2 daughters. He then moved to Denver, Colo and had another daughter & son. He worked in the grocery business for 20 years.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Mabel, daughters, Donna Mazziotta of Las Vegas, Debra Pratt of Thornton, Colo, Darlene Kelly of Greeley, Colo, son Richard Slovonsky II of Northglenn, Colo, stepsons Jeffrey Cole of Clearwater, Fla, & Scott Cole of Hesperia, Ca., brother Ronald Slovonsky of New Castle, Pa, sister Shirley Slovonsky of New Castle, Pa. and 19 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren also numerous nieces and nephews also of New Castle, Pa.
He married his current wife Mabel in 1977 and took on the responsibility of 2 more stepsons. They then moved to Las Vegas where he began working in the casino business as a valet supervisor for the Imperial Palace until his death.
Richard so enjoyed hunting and fishing when he lived in Colorado and traveling around the West in his truck and camper when the children were young. In the last few years he loved getting into his new RV and going back to Colorado to visit his children and adored his grandchildren more than anything in this world.
Memorial Services will be held May 9, 2012, at 10:00 am, Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Rev. Leo Wood will officiate.
Richard was a doting father and a loving husband that loved to spoil his wife and will always be terribly missed.
