Growing up he was as mischievous and the next. He loved animals, especially dogs. His family moved around a lot, so he was forced to attend many different schools. This did not alter the fact that he could make friends easily. Ted had an excellent sense of humor. He was also a terrific athlete, excelling in basketball and baseball. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy. He married and had two sons, Bob and Rick. He really got into fast pitch softball where he received many trophies and awards. Later on he received many write ups for his prowess in sports. He belonged to both the Las Vegas softball Hall of Fame and the Texas Hall of Fame. Ted was never satisfied with coming in second. As a fast pitch pitcher from 1960 - 1986 he threw 41 perfect games and more than 60 no hitters. He started bowling in 1967 while living in San Diego. Two years later he bowled his first 300 game and became one of three bowlers that year to have a perfect score in San Diego County. He subsequently rolled a perfect game in 1978 and two in 1986. In total he has bowled 33 perfect 300 score games. Ted was an avid golfer. He had a golf handicap down to 12 at one time. He shot a hole in one at the Legacy Golf Course in 1996 and in 2006 shot another hole in one at Desert Rose. All this being said, Ted will be fondly remembered by his many friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
Ted, we love you!
Ted is survived by his fiancee, Sheila M. Simpson, Sons, Robert D. Brown, (Leslie), and Richard L. Brown, (Ophlia), and one sister, Barbara (Sue) Wise, and four grandchildren.
