

Tommy Cox, age 77, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. He was born August 21, 1943 in Kyrock, Kentucky to his parents, Elvin Cox and Lucy Wolverton. Tommy served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps, and has a plaque with his name honoring military veterans at a courthouse in Brownsville, Kentucky.
Tommy loved cars, he loved them so much he must have been a used car salesman in another life. Junk cars followed him home like dogs follow people home. His last project was a 1966 Chevy Impala ( Like his first NEW car). His favorite color was yellow, and his favorite car was a yellow corvette. He loved taking road trips. Tommy had a career in the service and retail industry.
Tommy He is proceeded in death by his grandmother, Nellie Farris; father, Elvin Cox, and his grandson Tyson Stewart. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathleen; daughters: Kimberly and Lisa; mother, Lucy Wolverton; brother, Taylor (Mary); sisters: Sharon Yoast (Wilson), and Annita Caine (Charlie); grandchildren: Chelsea, Tara, Trevor, Tanea, and Nicholas; great grandchildren: Xavier, Noliki, Desire, D'Andre, Ariana, Tevin, Sarai, Brooklyn, and Troy; and numerous family members and friends.
