Victoria Lydia De La Rosa

Victoria Lydia De La Rosa, age 67, joined her family in heaven on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. She was born on October 14, 1954, in Henderson Nevada to Joseph and Antonia Ortiz, the sister of Marcos Ortiz, Connie Goericke, Dolores Jackson, Helen Ramirez, Betty Dupuis, Patricia Raizk; and many nieces and nephews.

Victoria married Arturo De La Rosa in 1978, and later had a son, Alejandro in 1986. She separated from her husband years later. Victoria dedicated 30 years of her life working for The State of Nevada Division of Child and Family Services; where she helped children and families in need.

Once retired she enjoyed going to the casinos and playing her slots. In 2007, she became the world's greatest grandmother to Jonnie and in 2008 she became a grandmother once again to Gabriela. Victoria dedicated the last few years of her life to her grandchildren.

Victoria was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Ortiz; mother, Antonia Ortiz; and siblings: Marcos Ortiz, Dolores Jackson, Helen Ramirez, and Betty Dupuis. She is survived by her son, Alejandro De La Rosa; siblings: Connie Goericke and Patricia Raizk; grandson, Jonnie De La Rosa; and granddaughter, Gabriela De La Rosa.

Memorial services for Victoria will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway Henderson, Nevada 89015. Victoria will be laid to rest following at Palm Henderson Cemetery.
