Virginia D. Andrews

Virginia "Lois" D. Booker Andrews was born June 4, 1937 to Tommie William Booker and Glendora Booker in New Canton, Virginia. She was one of nine children. She attended Petersville Elementary and Cumberland High School.

During the 1950's Lois moved to Newark, New Jersey where she lived for more than 20 years. Lois loved interacting with other people and spent the majority of her working career in jobs that related to Customer Services and Retail Sales until her retirement.

In 1975, Lois met the love of her life Henry "Hank" Andrews. They moved to Los Angeles in 1977 and married June 1986. Lois loved spending time with Hank traveling across country sightseeing and visiting family and friends. Lois was an outgoing, energetic, full of life individual, who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was an amazing cook and awesome baker, and always had a homemade cake stashed somewhere in the kitchen.

Lois and Hank moved to Las Vegas in 2015 where she remained until her passing. She was preceded death by her father, Tommie William Booker; her mother, Glendora Booker; two sisters: Rosa Booker Pendarvis and Alice Booker Sanders; four brothers: Joseph Booker, Warren Booker, Tommie Booker and Wendell Booker.

Lois is survived by her husband, Henry "Hank" Andrews; six step children: Patricia Andrews of Los Angeles, California, Michele Andrews Robinson (Robby Robinson) of Los Angeles, California, Raymond Andrews (Linda Andrews) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Howard Andrews of Los Angeles, California, Shirley Andrews Allen (Gary Allen) of Converse, Texas, Henry Sewell Andrews (Rosa Sewell Andrews) of Newark, New Jersey; two sisters: Augustine Booker Peterson of New York, Olga Booker Conyers (Robert Conyers) of Austin, Texas; one brother: Burley Booker of Newark, New Jersey; sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
