

Walter Clifford Scott III, age 84, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021. Walter was born August 16, 1936 in Charleston, West Virginia. He was the youngest of three children born to Walter Clifford Scott, Jr. and Dorothy Delight Rohrer.
Walter met the love of his life, Audrey J Albaugh, at Capital Airlines, where they both worked; she at the top of he luggage handling area, and he at the bottom of the shoot. The young couple would marry January 11, 1958. Little did they know at the time, that they would embark on a journey that would span over the next 59 years. They were blessed with four children, numerous grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Through out his life, Walter worked in many industries. He worked as a Fuller Brush Salesman, a Trailways Bus Driver, a Washington D.C. Firefighter, a business owner building kitchens, and a Jeep test driver. He lived and worked in Maryland until relocating to Yuma, Arizona, after retiring from the fire department. After all of their children left home, Walter moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Walter was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather; whom loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed traveling seeing new places. His travels provided the opportunity to see the "Northern Lights" in Iceland, walk on hot flowing lave fields in Hawaii, scuba dive in Fiji and Hawaii; and take cruises around the world from Alaska, the Mediterranean, New Zealand and Australia. In his spare time, Walter participated in his other many pastimes. He loved bowling; which his greatest achievement was bowling a perfect 300 game at Sam's Town during one of his many league nights; in addition to snorkeling, building cabinets, and being a certified Padi Scuba Diver.
Walter was a man of many talents and gifts. He was blessed with a wonderful family, who will miss him deeply. He had a zest for life, a vibrant smile; and a heart to serve others.
Walter was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Audrey J Scott; both of his parents; and his sister, Eleanor Scott. He is survived by his sister, Mary Blickensderfer; four adult children: Audrey J Creswell, Christine L Scott, Susan D Scott-Welker, and Marshall C Scott; numerous grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
