Zaiden Grandon was born on April 10, 2014 to his parents David Grandon and Malia Hoenshell. Zaiden was known to everyone as a ray of sunshine and a kind and gentle soul. Zaiden always showed boundless enthusiasm and energy and was the most selfless little boy. He approached life with a spirit of adventure, always seeking new experiences and companionship. He spent every afternoon playing outside with his friends and family. His weekends were spent with his mom, brother and his great grandma Bama. He was an extraordinary big brother to little Phoenix, taking how his dad raised him and trying to best applying that and pass it down. He played with him inside and out, watched after him and took care of him in ways you wouldn’t think a 9 year old could. He stepped up and took on the role of being there for him, which he truly loved.
Zaiden’s passion for soccer burned brightly, driving him to pursue his dreams with extreme determination. As he got older, his goal was to be the best soccer player ever. He was beyond motivated to do whatever it took to accomplish what he knew was his destiny. He was the most ambitious boy, he had the biggest dreams and goals of what his life was going to look like.
Zaiden had so, so many favorites! There were a million activities he loved to do besides soccer of course. He enjoyed swimming in the summer, playing at the park, going to the trampoline park, riding his bike, going to the movies and spending time with his family and friends. The places he enjoyed visiting the most were Disneyland, Legoland, Universal Studios, North Carolina where his grandma lived, Utah to camp and the beach where he rode bikes and played by the water. He enjoyed tv shows and movies, he admired characters such as Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man and Black Panther. He always loved going to restaurants with his dad and family, some of his top spots were Yardhouse, North Italia, In-N-Out, and good old Mc’Donalds. He had a very classy palate, he embraced all foods, especially sushi, poke, kbbq, boba, mussels and by far steak.
Zaiden had a big love for cars dreaming of a collection that rivaled Cristiano Ronaldos. His favorite was Lamborghini but also liked Ferraris, Paganis, Bugattis, Rolls Royce and McLaren just to name a few. That boy knew every car that drove by.
Zaiden was the most kind, respectful and loving boy at home. He was always willing to help out when asked and just knew exactly how to put a smile on your face. His infectious energy kept us busy and on our toes while filling our home with so much joy and laughter. He was such a smart boy and excelled in school and anything sports.
Zaiden is survived by his loving and devoted father David Grandon, and his grandparents Oscar and Zita Grandon. He now rests along side his beloved mother Malia and brother Phoenix.
