I may not know what you’re up to right now or even what you’re doing. For all I know you’re out fishing, or riding horses or who knows what. I like to think I get my love for the ocean or my love for horseback riding from you. There seems to be some kind of generational connection there. Who knows, maybe you aren’t even doing that,  maybe you’re  playing dominoes with the other old man drinking a cold beer and catching up after 15 years. 

What I do know is that I miss you, incredibly and that I wasn’t ready for you to go just yet. Your departure was shocking, quick and unexpected. All I can hope is that you’re in peace now and that you can breathe easy. I love you forever abuelito. You will forever  and very literally be my Angel.
