Our mother, Josefina Padron, went to be with her heavenly family. Married to Joseph Ernest Padron, they forged a new life in the United States in 1956, after leaving their beloved pre-revolution Cuba. They labored hard and made a modest life while raising three children in Miami, Florida. Our mother was a happy soul who liked to laugh and pull pranks on family and friends. She was an excellent cook, seamstress, housewife and friend.
She loved her family and God. Her childlike and caring ways endeared her to many people throughout her life including those in the medical field who cared for her in the last years of her life. Mom is survived by her oldest daughter Adela Padron-Butler (Bill), daughter Esther Padron-Ratliff (Jack) and son, Ernest Joseph Padron (Raiza). She is also survived by grandchildren, Nicole, Brianna, Joseph and EJ (Ernest Joseph) Padron and loving niece, Gloria Akers (Jeff) and her brothers as well as other nieces and their families.
