

Lydia Giraldo Aloyo was born March 18, 1923, in Vieques, Puerto Rico, to Victorio and Carmen Aloyo. She moved to the mainland, to live with her uncle Miguel for a short period and work in his shoe store. She them moved to New York City, where she eventually met her husband, Luis Ernesto Giraldo. They married had two children, Grace, and Howard Giraldo.
She worked side by side with her husband, running their bodega, to provide a better life for their children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who loved her family unconditionally. Her lifelong devotion to God was her legacy. Love thy neighbor and help them in any way you can, was her mantra. Her favorite bible scripture, Salmo 23.
Lydia is survived by 2 sisters, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless people who loved and adored her.
A visitation for Lydia will be held Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Hialeah, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010.
