Maria M. Menendez

She leaves her daughter Milady Sarria; her son, Manny Sarria and his wife, Cecilia Valdes; two grandchildren, Julian and Sebastian Sarria; and many close friends and family.

Born and raised in Cuba, the daughter of Juan Menendez and Victorina Hernandez she was the youngest of eight siblings. Survived by her brothers Juan and Ciro Menendez; and sisters Delfina Hernandez-Menendez, Reina Hernandez-Menendez and Etelvina Chacon. As a young woman she met Manuel Sarria, married, had two children and came to Miami, Florida in the early 80s. She worked with her brother, Juan Menendez, a general contractor, and independently until retiring in 2017. Maria was an avid Christian, attended Iglecia Doral Jesus Worship Center, and has many friends from her congregation.

A Visitation for Maria will take place on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. at Caballero Rivero Hialeah Funeral Home located at 373 West 9 Street, Hialeah, Florida, 33010. A Committal Service will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn West Cemetery located at 14001 N.W. 178 Street, Miami, Florida, 33018.
