

Marina Rodriguez, 88, of Miami, Florida, passed away on September 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, Marina was the beloved daughter of Antonio Rodriguez and Juana Ascencio. She lived a full and beautiful life marked by resilience, warmth, and deep devotion to her family. Her journey took her from Puerto Rico to Miami, later to Hartford, Connecticut, and ultimately back to Miami, where she made her home for the last 40 years.
Marina had a true passion for life’s simple joys. She was a dedicated gardener, an avid seamstress, and a phenomenal cook—always happiest when preparing her favorite dishes to share with loved ones.

Marina was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Amadeo Santiago Jr. and James Santiago; her brothers, Hipolito, Jose, and Juan Rodriguez; and her sisters, Estebania Ascencio and Ana Rodriguez.
Marina leaves behind her loving companion of 45 years, Angel Torres; her granddaughter Andrea Banks and husband James; her great-granddaughter Teegan Bussey and husband Marley, and their son Braeden; granddaughters Akadia Banks, Hailee Banks, and Journey Banks; her grandson James "Jimmy" Santiago and wife Rebecca; her granddaughter Marina Rodriguez and children; her brother Virgilio Rodriguez; her sister Guillermina Rodriguez; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In honor of her life, love & legacy, a Visitation for Marina will be held at Caballero Rivero Hialeah Funeral Home, located at 373 West 9 Street, Hialeah, Florida, 33010, on September 18, 2025, from 7:00 P.M. until 12:00 A.M..
Marina will be laid to rest at Caballero Rivero Dade North Cemetery, located at 1301 Opa-Locka Boulevard, Miami, Florida, 33167, on September 19, 2025, at 11:00 A.M..
