Le sobrevive su devoto hijo, Ernesto Cabrera, y su esposa Araima Fernández-Cabrera; su amada hija, Aimee Long, y su esposo, Russell Long; sus nietos, Troy, Eric, Cassandra, Monica, Michael, Justin, Kenneth, Stephen, Ernestico, Mia; y sus bisnietos, Christian, Daveon, Veronica, Monica, Taniyah, Logan, Amanda, Colten, Kayleight, Anabella, Dean, Brooklyn, Saxton, Jettson, Jacquelyn y Jason, quienes continuarán apreciando su memoria y el legado de amor y afecto que deja atrás.

Tania Cabrera, born in Guines, Mayabeque, Cuba, on March 8th, 1939, peacefully passed away on March 26th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She attended and graduated from El Escuela Americana, which was founded by two missionaries from North Carolina; a testament to her commitment to education and personal growth. In 1969, Tania and her late husband, Ernesto Cabrera, embarked on a new journey to the United States, where they began cooking for a small circle of people from their home. Their culinary prowess and warm hospitality soon led them to establish Tania's Takeout in the mid-1970s, a beloved establishment known for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. Tania poured her heart into her cooking, delighting countless customers with her culinary creations over the years.
Beyond the kitchen, Tania found solace and happiness in the company of her family. She treasured moments spent at the beach, relishing the water, food, and most importantly, the bonds shared with her loved ones. Tania also had a fondness for the thrill of the casino, finding excitement in the many games she played. Her zest for life and her ability to find joy in simple pleasures endeared her to all who knew her.
Tania is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernesto Cabrera, her mother, Ana Maria Suarez, and her father, Manolo Brage. She is survived by her devoted son, Ernesto Cabrera, and his wife, Araima Fernandez-Cabrera; her loving daughter, Aimee Long, and her husband, Russell Long; her grandchildren, Troy, Eric, Cassandra, Monica, Michael, Justin, Kenneth, Stephen, Ernestico, Mia; and her great-grandchildren, Christian, Daveon, Veronica, Monica, Taniyah, Logan, Amanda, Colten, Kayleight, Anabella, Dean, Brooklyn, Saxton, Jettson, Jacquelyn, and Jason, who will continue to cherish her memory and the legacy of love and warmth she leaves behind.
Tania Cabrera will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, generosity, and delicious culinary creations. May she rest in eternal peace.
A visitation for Tania will be held Friday, March 29, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 12:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Hialeah, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010. A committal service will occur Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn West, 14001 Northwest 178th Street, Miami, FL 33018.
