Danny Allen “Big Al” Cook, age 49 of Hickory went home to the Lord on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Allen was member of Christian Fellowship Chapel in Granite Falls and loved reading his bible. He was a loving husband, father and “Paw” to his grandchildren. Allen enjoyed NASCAR and his Atlanta Braves. Allen is survived by his wife 26 years Jacki Cook; daughters, Chelsea Cook and Allison Cook, both of Hickory; mother Judy Cook of Vale; brother, Rodney Cook of Vale and grandbabies, Kailee, Laedon and Bryson. Danny was preceded in death by his father Danny Richard Cook. A celebration of Allen’s life will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Catawba Funeral Home in Hickory with Pastor Dan Greene officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 Sunday at the funeral home, casual dress is requested by his family.
