Alta Faye (Black) Lackey

Born in Lincoln County on April 28, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Chesley Gray Black and Mae Allen Black.

Along with her late husband Charles, she was owner/operator of Sanitary Septic Tank Service and Sanitary Liquid Waste. Faye was a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Eugene Lackey; daughter Roxanne Lackey McCall, her daughter-in-law Kim Goins Lackey and grandson Derick Lackey

She is survived by her son David Lackey of Hickory; her daughter Angela Lackey of Hickory; grandsons Wesley Smith, Jonathon McCall, Devin Lackey and Jamie Foster; granddaughters Whitnie Taylor Beasley and husband Chris and Victoria Roxanne Waddell; great granddaughter Brynley Faye Beasley, Ahlexa Pruitt, Destiny Pruitt, Makenzie McCall and great grandsons Benjamin Beasley and Damon Smith, and her sister Camilla “Tootsie”.

Memorial service will be held Monday, August 18, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Mountain Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Gray Little officiating. Family will receive friends following Memorial service.

Burial will be private in church cemetery.
