Andrew Tyler Warren, beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, passed away Friday morning May 26, 2023, at the age of 32. He was the son of Edward (Eddie) and Vanessa Warren of Hickory, NC.
Tyler was born on April 30, 1991, in Hickory, NC. In his early years he attended St. Stephens Lutheran School and Clyde Campbell Elementary School. He continued at H.M. Arndt Middle and St. Stephens High School. He went to Appalachian State University where he studied Construction Management. He went on to work in the construction industry holding various positions with different companies. He had just received his paperwork to start his own company just days before he passed. He was so excited about this new chapter in his life.
In his early years he loved being outdoors, trout fishing in the NC mountains with his dad, brother, Papaw Hollar and being part of the Boy Scouts of America, where he attained the Eagle Scout Award. He also loved NASCAR racing. He collected memorabilia and anything Chase Elliott. He was so excited about going to the race at Wilkesboro, NC, which he did, just a week before his passing.
Tyler was very family oriented and loved family gatherings. He loved playing the annual wiffle ball game, the Price Park trip, and the family Christmas get together, especially the dirty Santa game. Our family vacations to Florida each year and mountain weekend trips was something he looked forward to. He cherished the time he spent playing Pokémon Go with his niece, Elsy. His smile and laughter are something that will never be forgotten.
Outside of his family and friends, he loved his dog Samson. He told us that he named him that because of his beautiful hair. Those two were as close as a dog and human could possibly be. You knew that if one was hurting, the other could feel the pain. This dog is now feeling pain and sorrow of his best friend passing.
Most importantly Tyler knew Jesus. He read his devotions and Bible and was secure in that fact that he believed in Jesus Christ and that through him he would have eternal life. He was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church and School (MS). He also attended church in Charlotte when he lived in that area. He was very fond of contemporary Christian music.
Tyler will be missed by many people, but to Eddie, Vanessa, and Trey, the pain of losing him will forever be in our hearts.
Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward D. Warren Sr. and Kletus Maye Frye Warren; and niece, Vada Renee Warren.
