Barbara Sue (Simpson) Warren

She was born February 4, 1931 to the late Henry F. Simpson and Hettie Whitener Simpson in Catawba County. Barbara was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eulon Eugene Warren; son, James Philip Warren; sisters, Peggy Cline, Jeanette Lehmons; brothers, James Simpson, and Carroll Simpson.

Survivors include her daughters, Genia Eggers and husband Randy of Hickory, Beth Travis and husband Mark of Claremont; son, Tim Warren of Conover; daughter-in-law, Mary W. Long and husband Gary of Conover; grandchildren, Amber Morrison and husband Joey of Granite Falls, Kristin Glasglow and husband Chad of Stanley, Philip Warren, II and wife Heather of Hickory, Brandon Eggers and wife Kayla of Granite Falls, Kyle Eggers and wife Meredith of Belmont, Blake Hefner and wife Jessica of Conover; and ten great grandchildren.

Barbara will lie in state on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on December 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Parish Center at Zion Lutheran Church. Pastor James Drysdale will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
