Beth H. Bedington

Beth H. Bedington, 59, passed away February 5, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after a period of declining health. Beth was born July 27, 1955 in Catawba County, NC. to Imogene K. Hefner and the late Carl E. Hefner. She was preceded in death by her brother Scott Hefner. Beth was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Conover. She was employed at Classic Leather Inc. and was their chief financial officer. She was a graduate with honors from Lenoir Rhyne College with a double major. Beth loved her dog Max, enjoyed cooking for family and friends, and was an avid follower of the Carolina Tar Heels. Surviving is her husband of 37 years, Scott Bedington of the home; mother, Imogene Hefner of Conover; uncle Paul Kanupp and wife Linda of Murrells Inlet, SC. Along with numerous cousins. The Memorial service will be Monday, February 9, 2015 at 4p.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott Bollinger officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 4420 County Home Rd. Conover, NC, 28613, Catawba County Humane Society, 3224 20th Avenue Southeast, Hickory, NC 28602, and to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd. Newton, NC 28658.
