

Betty was born October 2, 1932 in Catawba Co. to the late Joseph and Mary Bass Ezell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Mitchell Hubbs, grandchildren; Jana Lynn Hubbs, Emily Holmes and Charlie Mitchell, sisters: Evelyn Bolch, Dot Strawn and Louise Bolch.
She was a member of Highland Baptist Church, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher. She was retired from F.A.A. as an accountant.
Surviving are her husband, Gene Mitchell of the home, daughter, Melanie Holmes and husband, Bill of Hickory, sons: Mark Mitchell of Morganton and Monte Mitchell and wife Jennifer of Wilkesboro, granddaughters: Rachel Mitchell of Morganton, Caroline Holmes and Olivia Holmes both of Hickory, grandsons: Alex Holmes of Raleigh, Nicholas Holmes and Austin Holmes both of Hickory, brother, Dean Ezell of Clayton, Ga.
Services will be Saturday, August 28, at 3:00 P. M. at Highland Baptist Church with Reverends Jesse Lott and Dale Clark officiating.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:45 until 2:45 P. M. at Highland Baptist Church.
