

Born in Catawba County on February 2, 1935, he was the son of the late Clyde Trent and Evelyn Huss Craig.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Young Craig, his daughter Janet Lynn Craig, his son Terry Carrol Craig, his sister Judy Martin, and his brothers Trent Craig and Warren Craig.
At 18 years of age he enlisted in the Navy and was proud to serve his country for 20 years as he and his bride raised their family of 5 children. He then attended Fruitland Bible College with great joy he served the Lord in ministry over 20 years. His homecoming with the love of his life, Mary Lou, children Terry, Janet and many more loved ones. What a celebration. This is not goodbye, as a child of God, but till we meet again.
He is survived by his daughters Patricia Childress and husband Ronnie of Dudley Shoals, and Denise Mathis of Icard; his son Carrol R. Craig Jr. and wife Trish of Panama City, FL; 9 grandchildren, Ashley, Autumn, Bo, Chevalla, Cache, Caressa, Calandra, Clint and Zack; 20 great grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Craig and wife Lana of Taylorsville and Kenneth Craig of Sherrills Ford
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Beulah Baptist Church, 3011 Hwy 18 Vale, NC. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Reverend Harold Benfield and Reverend Ed Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
