Charles Larue Scott

Charles was born July 24, 1927 in Grant Co., Ind. to the late Walter and Loretta Shepard Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, four sisters and an infant daughter.

He attended Sandy Ridge Wesleyan Church, a WW II veteran served in the U. S. Navy and retired as a bus driver for Grey Hound Lines, and a member of The American Legion Post #48.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Taylor Scott of the home; daughters, Pamela Hughes and husband, Tommy, of Taylorsville, Teresa Scott Hall of Columbus, OH and Tina Dowless and husband, Rick, of Elizabethtown, NC; sons, Stephen Scott and wife, Chris, of Johnston, OH, Kevin Scott and wife, Becky, of Hickory, Larry Scott of Hickory and Jerry Scott and wife, Lisa, of Hickory; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother, Earl Scott of Jackson, MI; sister, Arietta Herring of Marion, IN.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday December 8,2012 at Sandy Ridge Wesleyan Church with the Reverend Scott Howard officiating.

Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #48.
