He was born on April 15, 1953, to the late Charles Thomas Winkler Sr. and Zelda Surber Winkler in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Those left to cherish his memory include his girlfriend, Terry Ashley, daughters; Emily Keller and husband Jason, Mary Robinson and husband Tony, step-daughter, Stacey Beach and husband Stephen; son, Patrick Winkler, granddaughter, Abella Sullivan, sisters; Brenda Sedino, Cathy Myers and husband JB, Rebecca Robbins, brothers; Doug Winkler and wife Shannon, and John David Winkler.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Hickory. Rev. Josh Edward will be officiating the service.
