Coleen Warlick

Coleen Brittain Warlick, 86 of Hickory, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at the Greens of Hickory surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on May 19th, 1939, in Cleveland County, NC, Coleen was the daughter of the late Carl and Clara Rhoney Brittain. Coleen loved her time with family, especially her role as Memaw to Taylor and Trey. She loved gardening and all things flowers. She was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ralph D. Warlick and her 2 brothers, Charles (Gene) Brittain and wife, Joyce and Darrell Brittain and wife, Ann.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her daughter, Carla Yount and husband, Tim of Maine; her son, Tracy Warlick and wife, Jennifer of Hickory; her grandchildren, Taylor Warlick of Hawaii and Trey Warlick of Washington, DC; her brother, Harold Brittain and wife, Judy of Hickory, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Friday, June 6th, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dan Duke officiating. She will be laid to rest at Catawba Memorial Park following the service.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring (Hospice) in Coleen’s name.
