LESTER DAN “DANNY” RICE HICKORY- Danny Rice, 64, went home to be with his loving parents on April 16, 2015, after a long illness. Born on January 31, 1951 in Caldwell County to the late William and Kathleen Rice. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. He loved spending time outdoors fishing and going to flea markets. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Jerry “Dean” Rice. He leaves behind a brother, Lee Rice and wife Darlene; nephew’s, Dwayne, Josh, and Jerry Rice and Clay Stillwell; niece, Crystal Rice Woolard; special great-neice, Lydia Rice; uncle, Bill Reid; and numerous cousins. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 at 1 pm at Catawba Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
