Darrell Ray Stilwell

Darrell Ray Stilwell, 49, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Catawba Valley Medical Center, after a period of declining health. Darrell was born Sept. 10, 1964 to Linda Martin Bramlett. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles Bramlett; and maternal grandparents, Roy and Clara Martin. He was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and was employed by Sherrill Furniture. He was a Carolina fan, NASCAR fan and followed Darrell Waltrip. Surviving is his daughter, Ashley Stilwell of Hickory; granddaughter, Tyra Freeman of Hickory; mother, Linda M. Bramlett of Hickory; sisters, Debbie Holden of Conover, Donna Drum and Fred Hedrick of Conover and Pat Sigmon and husband, Rick of Hickory; brothers, Danny Stilwell and wife, Kathy of Taylorsville and Chuck Bramlett of Hickory; Ashley's mother, Candy Drum of Hickory; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, Jan. 24, at 5 p.m. at Sweetwater Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Lackey and Captain John Harris officiating. The family will greet visitors after the service. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Linda Bramlett.
