He was born on January 8, 1935 to the late Bulo Ervin Good and Sally Irene Bennett Good in McDowell County. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover. He was co-owner of Goods Industries.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his 6 brothers, Fred, John, Alvin, Earl, BrownLo, Daniel Good, four sisters; Allie Stafford, Nettie Huffman, Mamie Brown, Lou Marrow, and son-in-law, Mark London.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carolyn Rullman Good of the home, son, David “Jake” Lynn Good of Hickory, daughters; Lisa London of Hickory, Katherine Stephens and husband Barney of Hickory, grandchildren; Amanda London Newsome (Chris) of Hickory, Alicia Marie London of Hickory, Chad Anthony Stephens (Ashley) of Taylorsville, Kyle Samuel Stephens (Rebekah) of Hickory, Cody Lee Stephens of Conover, Kurt Daniel Stephens ( fiancé Madylin Vess) of Conover, great grandchildren, Bryan Newsome, Ben Newsome, Cadence Stephens, Harper Stephens, Luke Stephens, Hunter Stephens, Greyson Stephens.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 until 3:45 p.m. at the church. Rev. Anton Lagoutine and Rev. Luke Self will officiate the service.
