Brother: Donald Smith of Catawba.
David's long time partner Diana Lester Smith.
As well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his loving parents Luther and Geraldine Smith of Conover.
A brother: Paul Smith Sr. of Claremont
A sister: Leisa Smith of Swords Creek, VA.
Sister: Anna Ruth Smith
David was born in Los Angeles County, California and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Although disabled in recent years, David was a truck driver much of his life.
He always had a love and a passion for game roosters and was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to a dear family friend and caretaker, Mindy King.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 2 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastors Mark Morris and Robert Helton officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from, 1 PM – 2 PM at the funeral home.
David final resting place will be at Catawba Memorial Park, in Hickory.
