My great Aunt Dolly was a amazing an loving women. I went to her house as far back as I can remember with my grandma her sister (Lib). I learned to swim at there house along with , which seemed like every kid on the dirt road back then did . I remember the first time she let me go under water was she sent me down the slide an promised she would catch me .. yep that didn’t happen lol she was like smack u on the back an say it’s ok next time hold ya breath . Breath out ya nose . Then when Robin had Jim an Steve I remember them learning as well . This was definitely the hang out for me . I loved going there . Uncle Ray with a solo cup most time would be on the carport with a little music an a few friends always talking and keeping a eye out from above ,while all of us ran back an forth until we got called down for it of course . As time passed and I got older I went over one time I can remember specifically this day cause I had gotten my Lisence an I had to go by there ..
I went because other then my grandma lib , aunt Dollys was the only other families place I knew how to get to since I spent so much time there as a kid with mawmaw ..And I went in an set at the bar in the kitchen and it was lunch time ,Aunt Dolly was like Mandy Ann which I never knew where the Ann came from ,but that is what she always referred to me as you want some lunch ? I was like no I’m fine . She opened up the freezer an pulled out a couple bowls an put in microwave an I’m thinking what is she fixing , She set a bowl of spaghetti in front of me an I’m like Aunt Dolly u froze that with noodles she said , well yea it’s just as good as the day it was Cooked . Sure enough best spaghetti to this day I ever ate in my life! I started freezing spaghetti as well since that day . Aunt Dolly thanks for all the good memories.. you REST EASY . I love you . You was loved by many an will be missed by all !!!
