Donald William Adams

HICKORY –Donald William Adams, 67 of Hickory passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the VA Hospital in Asheville. Donald was born June 7, 1947 in Burke County to the late William “Bill” Elbert and Marjorie Lucille Adams, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Huffman Adams, and a nephew Jeffery Dale. He was a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church and of the choir for 35 years; he was also a member of the ROMEOS. He is survived by his wife Jane Adams of the home; a twin brother Ronald Elbert Adams and wife Helen of Mt. Juliet, TN, a sister Linda Heavner Brooks and husband Rex of Granite Falls; a brother-in-law Ken Teague and wife Debbie of Hickory; grandchildren Colin Addie, Chloe Addie, Gabe Stanley, Kamryn Stanley, Crystal Stanley and Sarah-Beth Stanley; nieces and nephews Donna Clark, Mark Bess, Randy Bess, Adam Adams, John Adams and Erin Teague. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 2:00PM to 3:45PM at Mountain Grove Baptist Church. The funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 4:00PM at Mountain Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Loftis officiating.
