She was born on December 5, 1949 in Catawba County to the late Jack Evans and Pauline Bryson Evans. Dorothy was a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Dennis Hoyle; grandson, Paul Daniel Bost; three sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Wilson Hoyle of the home; daughter, Crystal Mundy and husband Dennis of Conover; son, Darrin Bost of Newton; stepson, Jeremy Hoyle and wife Angie of Hickory; grandchildren, Kailey Hicks and husband Casey of Hickory, Karsyn Mundy of Conover, Sidney Hoyle of Hickory, James Hoyle of Hickory; three great grandchildren; sister, Shelba Jean Ledford of Hickory; two brothers, Larry Evans and wife Paulette of Conover, Everette Evans and wife Brenda of Hickory; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 until 4:45 p.m. at the church. Pastor Bill Sturm will be officiating the service.
