Dorothy Mary Killian

Dorothy Mary Winebarger Killian, 98 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 23rd, 2024. at Abernethy Laurels in Newton.

Born on September 19th, 1926, in Catawba County, NC, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Walter Hill and Freda Adams Winebarger. Dorothy was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Troy L. Killian; two sisters, Helen Keller and Grace Haskins and one brother, Burl Winebarger.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her son, Ronald Steven Killian and wife, Susan Triplett Killian; two grandsons, Derek Killian and wife, Debbie and Tyler Killian and wife, Jelita; one granddaughter, Erin White and husband, Doug; four great grandchildren, Troy Killian, Celeste Killian, Brooke and Kaitlyn White.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 30th, 2024, at Catawba Memorial Park at 2:00 pm.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 PM - 2 PM at Catawba Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miller’s Lutheran Church in Dorothy’s name.
