Eleanor Valree Fulbright Hughes

Valree was born November 16, 1939 in Catawba Co. to the late George Franklin and Pearl Keever Fulbright In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Bill” Hughes, a daughter, Betty Jean Moses, grandson, Dustin Bowen, five brothers William, Thomas, Leonard, Buddy and Bobby Lee Fulbright..

She was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Taylorsville.

Surviving are her sons, Allen Bowen and wife Bonjy of Conover, Tim Bowen, and Tony Bowen; her daughters Nancy Hawkins of Mooresville, Teresa Hill and husband Daniel of Lincolnton; step-children Mike Hughes, David Hughes, Tommy Hughes and wife Shelley and Kay Mashburn and husband Eddie, three brothers, Earl Fulbright and wife Betty of Vale, Gary Fulbright and wife Jane of Vale, Lawrance Fulbright and wife Shirley of Valdese and sister Maude Echerd and husband Basil of Taylorsville, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 9 step- great -grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday October 19, 2013 in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Schronce officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton.

The family will receive friends on Saturday October 19, 2013 at Hickory Funeral Home from 1:30 – 2:45 P. M.
