Eva Mae Cline Cline Young

HICKORY---- Eva Mae Cline Young, 89, of Hickory passed away on Tuesday April 7, 2015 at Brian Center Viewmont following a brief illness. Eva Mae Cline Young was born on February 9, 1926 in Lincoln County to the late Hoyle and Florence Rhoney Cline. In addition to her parents, Eva was also preceded in death by her husband, Preston Lee Young; 4 brothers, Charles Cline, Talmadge Cline, Robert Bess, and Joe Cline; 3 sisters Edna Ramsey, Gevena Darty and Hester Shull. Eva was a member of Westview United Methodist Church in Hickory. After years of cafeteria work all over this county with Servomation Vending Inc. , she retired to love and care for her great grandchildren. Surviving is her daughter Carolyn Crawley and husband David of Hickory; a granddaughter Wendy Berry and husband Lewis of Hickory; two great grandchildren Hannah Billington and Joshua Billington both of Hickory; her sisters Nancy McCaslin of Hickory and Joyce Lingerfelt of Hickory, her brothers Hoyle Cline Jr. and wife Mary of Hickory, and Gene Bess of Palm Coast, Fl; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, April 10, 2015 from 12:45pm to 1:45pm at Westview United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday April 10,, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Westview United Methodist Church with Reverend Glenda Bramlet officiating.

Interment will follow in the Catawba Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Westview United Methodist Church 1309 1st Ave. SW, Hickory, NC 28602.
